About Us
New owners Duncan & Gail Downie are genuine animal lovers with a lifetime of experience as animal owners. Their experience includes a combination of owning, breeding, showing, training, and racing over more than 45 years. Previous owners of a Cattle Breeding operation in the Callide Valley has also helped to provide a wide variety animal handling skills.
We spent a number of years competing in the Dog Show Ring, specialising in the German Shepherd Breed. As German Shepherd Breeders registered with the German Shepherd Club of QLD we successfully bred several litters of pups which went on to enrich the lives of many families.
Adding to the mix was a number of years breeding and training Greyhound racing dogs in the Central Qld region having as many as 25 dogs in our care at one stage including pups, breeders and racers. Training dogs for racing and obedience have been a hobby which we have both always enjoyed.
We pride ourselves in old-fashioned family values with four children and 10 grandchildren, our home has always been enriched by the inclusion of both Cats and Dogs to share the love around. We currently share our home with a Tea Cup Poodle and have a Labrador and German Shepherd running around in the yard. Caring for animals has been an enjoyment which has always enriched our lives.
